Calle, August 2017   Schleifer GmbH from Aßlar in Germany has had Tietjen GmbH develop a pneumatic braking unit for the Baumann-side loader GX70. The loader is also equipped with Duo-Matic quick couplers and a 24 V socket plus voltage doubler.

The standard 12 V on-board power supply must be doubled to the 24 V usually found on lorries since the side loader can also pull lorry trailers. The Duo-Matic quick couplers from Wabco join the pneumatic braking system on the side loader with the braking system on the trailer.

They allow quicker, safer coupling compared with standard couplings. To make manoeuvring with trailers easier, the Baumann side loader has Duo-Matic quick couplers at both front and rear.
