2022 already is a record year for Dipl.-Ing. Tietjen GmbH from Calle. This is not only the case in terms of turnover, in spite of the many delivery bottlenecks and coronavirus-related limitations. Tietjen delivered the 100,000th air brake system in Mid-August. The client was Swecon Baumaschinen GmbH from Isernhagen. The kit was installed in the L90H Volvo wheel loader by Grass Agrardienstleistungen from Burgwedel near Hanover. That is also where the vehicle was handed over by Swecon Baumaschinen, complete with air brake system, trailer hitch, ABS socket, light socket, and the required road licensing. The managing directors of the German market leader in air brake systems, Jürgen and Hauke Tietjen, attended that event in Burgwedel to participate in handover of the vehicle and present the certificates for the 100,000th air brake system.

“Serial number 100,000! A magical number, and reason to celebrate together with our long-term customer Swecon and with Grass. We are happy that this special serial number plate is now riding along on the agricultural service provider's L90H Volvo wheel loader,” says Hauke Tietjen.

Long-term cooperation

The growing demand for construction machinery in the areas of agriculture and forestry has given Swecon close contact with Tietjen for many years. The products from Calle have long been part of the Swecon offer range.

86 years of Tietjen and nearly 45 years of air brake systems

Tietjen has been developing and selling air brake systems for nearly 45 years now. It all started with a forge founded by Wilhelm Tietjen in Calle back in 1936. After the end of World War II, it developed into a workshop specialising in agricultural machines. Son Jürgen took over the operation in 1978, developing the company into a specialist for air brake systems of world renown. Agricultural and construction machinery trade and the most renowned manufacturers of agricultural and construction machinery rely on air brake systems of Dipl. Ing. Tietjen GmbH. The German market leader is producing 5000 different versions in order to equip and retrofit tractor units and trailers individually and very quickly, to optimise or repair them. Since 2011, Hauke Tietjen has continued the company's tradition in the third generation, facing all technical challenges in future as well. The company now has 70 employees and offers training in a number of professions.
